Now if there is any MAJOR enhancement for the world of gaming that happens to be most praised among many,it FOR SURE is the online capability that won that over.
Sadly..like the image here states however,Nintendo will be cutting online access for all of the Nintendo DS and Wii games that support this feature.
The servers (networks that feed the online information) will be shut down from MAY 20th 2014.
No more leaving those cocky Asian's in the dust (Mario Kart Wii/DS) from my home living room.
No more online battles for Pokemon on my DS (4th nor 5th gen)...
Yeah...all of that will be gone soon.
However,the thing about this is..Nintendo is only really doing this to ease their company money drain (from the BAD Nintendo Wii U sales).
I'm seeing a LITTLE hope here..but I can't guarantee it..at least as yet..
I'm personally hoping that Nintendo would make this a TEMPORARY degrade for the system and someday bring these Wi-Fi features back (most likely the same with you the reader) after the system has been shut down.
Time will have to tell of course..
{Sigh}..
Before then,let's just enjoy what we have while it still lasts...
